Restoration of an Eames Lounge Chair for a Customer

Photos show pictures of a chair we restored for a customer. It had severe damage from the prior owners doing a botched home repair and adding metal to each wing. The backrest had several large drill holes through the rosewood as well as a broken wing. The shells also had several cracks down the plywood as well as chips of veneer. We brought it back to be structural sound again, including replacing all four shock mounts, replacing rosewood veneer, refinishing the rosewood shells, and replacing the leather as well as new down feather filling. Lastly, we polished the aluminum bases to a mirror finish.
