Restoration Completed.
This chair received a complete restoration including sanding, staining, and a lacquer top coat the wood. The chair needed new lucite parts to hold the sling in place as they had been lost by the previous owner. The chair also recieved a new Leather sling (the previous sling was made of vinyl) made of the highest quality Italian leather.
This is cool Californian design at its best. Jerry Johnson patented this chair in 1964. This Mid-Century chair is extremely comfortable. It features a bent walnut plywood frame supporting its original deep sling seat over a sculpted, solid walnut base. One of the most unique designs of the era.
