Paul Evans Signed Stalagmite Bronze Mid Century Modern Coffee Table

$8,495.00

A stunning brutalist Paul Evans PE-128 coffee table which was part of the "Sculptured Metal Collection" for Directional. This dramatic cocktail table is comprised of a dark patinated bronze which has been artistically sculpted over a steel base in a stalagmite formation, presenting an arresting composition. The bronze peaks and troughs support a circular glass top. This Stalagmite cocktail table features the incised signature and date "PE79" by the artist, which can be seen in the photo gallery and denotes the production year of 1979.

This is an incredible option for both designers and collectors alike. It provides a functional use as a coffee table yet it is also a work of art. The hard metal material makes it resilient to damage, so it's a great option for those with kids or pets or in high-traffic areas such as a boutique hotel or creative office. The rarity of this brutalist table, and the fact that it is signed and dated by Paul Evans from his studio make it an excellent investment for collectors. And the popularity of the brutalist style and Paul Evans in particular makes this an attractive option for the designer who is looking to create a magazine cover worthy room.

This impressive piece would be a great conversation starter as part of a classic, contemporary or mid-century modern living room, den, man/woman cave, family room, office or bedroom. It would also be an apt choice in a corporate, retail or hospitality location such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium. Use as a cocktail table, coffee or tea table, low table, occasional table or large side / end table. Also excellent option without the glass top as a floor or wall art sculpture.

Dimensions: 16.25" H x 42" Diameter
