This set of 8 dining chairs were designed by Kai Kristiansen in 1956 and produced by Schou Andersen in the 1960's. This chair epitomizes the architectural ingenuity of Kai Kristensen. Made of African teak, commonly known as Afromosia. They are a marvel of design and construction. We can upholster in any fabric or leather. These chairs will work with any design style and remain as modern as they were when they were released.
Kai Kristensen is, at the age of 92, still designing and reimagining his designs. Having studied under Klaare Klint, universally acknowledged as the father of Danish Modern, Kristiansen's basic tenets of economy and ecology influenced the manufacturing processes of the furniture industry outside of Copenhagen.
