The circular tabletop is particularly striking. A deep black surface is punctuated by an irregular arrangement of exposed wood circles in varying sizes, allowing the warm natural grain beneath to peek through the black field like a constellation of stars. The effect is playful yet sophisticated—an unusual graphic element that gives the table its distinctive character while remaining unmistakably elegant.
A raised wood rim frames the circular top, providing a warm contrast against the black surface. Below, the table is supported by a dramatic three-legged sculptural base. Each slender leg sweeps outward in a graceful curve before terminating in a softly rounded foot. Viewed from the side, the legs create an almost architectural silhouette and give the relatively small table considerable visual presence.
The underside retains its original Dunbar metal manufacturer’s label, marked “Dunbar, Berne, Indiana,” confirming its production by Dunbar.
