Inspired by the distinctive hardware found on George Nelson’s iconic Thin Edge furniture for Herman Miller, this beautifully crafted small solid aluminum pull brings an elegant Mid-Century Modern detail to vintage furniture, cabinetry, and architectural millwork.
Each pull is precision machined from a single solid piece of aluminum. There are no joints, welds, or visible seams—the sculptural profile flows continuously from the circular face through the narrow waist and into the flared base. The result is a beautifully finished piece of hardware that feels substantial and exceptionally well made in the hand.
This is the smaller of the two Thin Edge-style aluminum pulls offered by Hobbs Modern, measuring 1” in diameter with a 1.25” projection. Its slightly more restrained proportions make it particularly well suited for smaller drawers, nightstands, cabinets, and other applications where the larger version may feel oversized.
The satin aluminum finish looks especially striking against walnut, rosewood, teak, and other richly figured woods. While developed with vintage Mid-Century Modern furniture restoration in mind, these pulls also work beautifully on kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, built-ins, credenzas, dressers, and cabinetry in Mid-Century Modern and Eichler homes.
