Inspired by the distinctive aluminum hardware found on George Nelson’s iconic Thin Edge furniture for Herman Miller, this beautifully crafted solid aluminum pull brings an authentic Mid-Century Modern detail to vintage furniture, cabinetry, and architectural millwork.
Unlike inexpensive cast or multi-piece reproduction hardware, each pull is machined from a single solid piece of aluminum. There are no joints, welds, or visible seams anywhere on the pull. The result is an exceptionally clean, sculptural form that feels substantial and beautifully made in the hand.
The profile features a broad circular face that flows smoothly into a narrow waist before flaring outward toward the mounting point. Viewed from the side, the continuous hourglass-like curve gives the pull an almost architectural quality. The machined aluminum has a refined satin finish that looks especially striking against walnut, rosewood, teak, and other richly figured woods.
This is our larger 1.25-inch version, created for applications where a more substantial pull is desired. Hobbs Modern now offers this hardware in two sizes — Small and Large — allowing you to select the scale that best suits your furniture or cabinetry.
These pulls are ideal for replacing missing or damaged hardware on vintage Mid-Century Modern furniture or for adding a period-inspired detail to a new project. They also work beautifully on kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, built-ins, credenzas, dressers, nightstands, and cabinetry in Mid-Century Modern and Eichler homes.
