    • An authentic pair of iconic Tolomeo Floor Lamps by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina for Artemide, one of the most recognizable and enduring Italian lighting designs of the late 20th century.

Designed around an ingenious system of articulated aluminum arms, exposed tension cables, and adjustable joints, the Tolomeo combines industrial engineering with an exceptionally clean and elegant form. Each lamp can be positioned through a remarkably wide range of angles, allowing the light to be raised, lowered, extended, or directed exactly where needed. The adjustable shades provide an additional level of control, making these lamps as functional as they are sculptural.

The polished and satin aluminum construction gives the pair a distinctly architectural presence, while the visible cables, joints, and counterbalancing mechanism celebrate the engineering behind the design rather than concealing it. The substantial round bases provide stability while maintaining the refined industrial character of the lamps.

This example is particularly desirable as a matching pair, allowing the lamps to beautifully flank a sofa, desk, reading area, or large seating arrangement. Positioned together, their long articulated arms create a dramatic architectural composition while still allowing each lamp to be independently adjusted.

Both lamps retain their original Artemide labels, identifying the Tolomeo model and designers Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina, confirming their authenticity.

Originally introduced by Artemide in 1987, the Tolomeo has become a modern design classic, celebrated for its combination of mechanical ingenuity, versatility, and timeless Italian design. More than simply a floor lamp, the Tolomeo is a highly functional piece of modern sculpture whose exposed engineering has become an integral part of its visual identity.
