    • A rare and elegant set of six Horseshoe armchairs designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar, model 935—one of the most sculptural and architecturally refined dining chairs of the Mid-Century period.

These chairs exemplify Wormley’s mastery of proportion and material, combining strong modern lines with luxurious craftsmanship. The frames are executed in richly stained walnut with rosewood accents, showcasing Dunbar’s exceptional woodworking standards. The distinctive horseshoe-shaped backrest floats gracefully between the rear posts, creating a dramatic silhouette that is both light in appearance and structurally sophisticated.

The seats are newly upholstered, offering generous comfort while maintaining the original design intent—making these chairs equally suited for daily dining use or as statement pieces in a curated interior.

Four of the six chairs retain their original gold metal manufacturer’s labels affixed to the underside, stamped “Dunbar, Berne, Indiana”, confirming their authenticity.
