The solid walnut frame is the defining feature. Sweeping arms flow continuously from the front of the chair toward the back, while the sculpted side supports extend into dramatically tapered legs. There is very little about the chair that feels static or conventional—the frame seems almost drawn in a single continuous line. The warmth and natural grain of the walnut soften the architecture of the design and emphasize its hand-shaped, sculptural character.
Suspended within the frame is a deeply contoured upholstered seat and back, shaped to follow the body rather than conform to the rigid geometry typical of traditional lounge chairs.
