    • Finn Juhl'sย Model 136 armchair for France & Son. Beautifully sculpted teak frame with Finn Juhl Classic design elements: floating seat and floating backrest. This chair has new upholstery and foam and retains the metal spring system that gives the seat and back rest added comfort.ย

Made in Denmark. With metal tag to underside.

Thereโ€™s a reason why Finn Juhl remains one of the most revered names in Danish modern designโ€”and this Model 136 armchair is a perfect example of why his work continues to captivate collectors and design lovers worldwide.

This chair embodies Juhlโ€™s signature language: organic curves, lightness in form, and a sense of structure that blurs the line between furniture and sculpture. The beautifully sculpted solid teak frame showcases Juhlโ€™s ability to give wood a flowing, almost human quality. The seat and backrest appear to float within the frameโ€”an ingenious structural illusion that gives the chair visual lightness and timeless elegance.

Juhlโ€™s designs were never just about aestheticsโ€”they were about comfort and experience. The original metal spring system, retained in this piece, adds an unexpected level of comfort and bounce. Newly upholstered in a luxurious Maharam wool blend, the seat feels both contemporary and true to its mid-century roots.

Handcrafted in Denmark and bearing the original France & Son metal tag, this chair has been meticulously restored to excellent condition, ready for another generation of admiration.

      • Dimensions: 32" W x 32" D x 30.5" H

      • Seat Height: 15.5"

      • Condition: Excellent restored condition with new foam and upholstery
