    • A beautifully restored, early 3rd-generation Eames Lounge Chair in Brazilian rosewood and New Moss.  Richly figured rosewood shells, prized for its dramatic grain, depth of color, and natural luster. The Rosewood displays warm auburn and chocolate tones that look amazing with the moss green leather.

      Why this example matters

“Early 3rd Gen” is a sweet spot for collectors: it keeps several second-generation details while moving into later production refinements. Key identifiers on this chair include:

      • Rosewood shells with striking, book-matched grain

      • Brass bushings at the back supports (retained from Gen 2 before the switch to plastic)

      • Rectangular cushion clips

      • New Foam & moss leather upholstery

      • New shock mounts present and functionally sound

      Condition

      • Overall: Excellent vintage condition, fully functional and comfortable.

      • Leather: Attractive Moss Green Leather.

      • Shells: Refinished Rosewood presents with lively figure and depth; edges and finish are in excellently.

      • Chair retains Herman miller labels on both the ottoman and chair.

      • Contact us if you would like to purchase the chair in classic Black Leather or another color. We can make that happen.

      Design notes

The Eames Lounge Chair is the benchmark of American Mid-Century design—comfort engineered like a machine, finished like fine cabinetry. This early 3rd-Gen. example reads warm and architectural: the rosewood chatoyancy lights up under soft daylight, while the tan leather keeps the silhouette relaxed and residential.

      Dimensions

      Standard Eames Lounge dimensions.
