    • A beautifully honest, 3rd-generation Eames Lounge Chair in Brazilian rosewood and tan leather—original. Can be upholstered in Black or a color of your choice. This chair is in process and will be restored soon.

      Why this example matters

Key identifiers on this chair include:

      • Rosewood shells with striking, book-matched grain

      • Rectangular cushion clips

      • Foam & leather upholstery (factory spec for this period)

      • Original shock mounts present and sound

      Condition

      • Overall: Will be in Excellent vintage condition, fully functional and comfortable once restored.

      • Leather: Attractive, even patina to the tan hides; light, age-expected creasing.

      • Arms: Minor age-related checking/cracking at one arm edge (see photos).

      • Shells: Rosewood Shells to be restored.

      • Hardware / mounts: Solid and swivel operate smoothly.

Prefer it “as-found”? Keep the character and patina. Want it renewed? Hobbs Modern can reupholster and refinish to your spec (Italian aniline/leathers, period-correct foams, careful shell refinish) while preserving all generation-correct details.

(Ottoman pictured available; please inquire for pairing and pricing.)

      Design notes

The Eames Lounge Chair is the benchmark of American Mid-Century design—comfort engineered like a machine, finished like fine cabinetry. This early 3rd-gen example reads warm and architectural: the rosewood  lights up under soft daylight, while the tan leather keeps the silhouette relaxed and residential.

      Dimensions

Standard Eames Lounge dimensions. Exact measurements and a condition video available on request.

      Shipping

White-glove nationwide and international freight available. Professionally packed and insured.
